Producer prices for final demand increased 10.8 percent for the year ended in May 2022, following advances of 10.9 percent for the year ended in April and 11.5 percent for the year ended in March.

From May 2021 to May 2022, the increase in producer prices for final demand was driven largely by a 16.6-percent increase in prices for final demand goods. This can be attributed to a 45.3-percent advance in prices for final demand energy over the past 12 months. Over that period, prices for final demand construction rose 19.0 percent.
